Aladdin $25 chip sold for $1,275.00
A first issue Milton Prell's Aladdin $25 casino chip issued in 1966 sold
for $1,275.00 on March 12th of 2017. The casino was sold in 1968 and they
dropped Milton Prell's name from the casino

Hard Rock buys the Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City has been sold. Hard Rock International will be majority owner of the property in partnership with the Morris and Jingoli families. The group will invest more than $300 million to purchase, renovate and re-open the casino by the summer of 2018.
Carl Icahn, Chairman of Icahn Enterprises, acquired the casino in February 2016 when Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. emerged from bankruptcy. Losing millions of dollars a month, Icahn closed the casino on October 10th of 2016

Rivers Casino NY opens on Feb. 8th
The Rivers Casino at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, New York opened on February 8th of 2017. The casino offers 1,150 slot machines, 66 table games and 15 poker tables on a 50,000-square-foot gambling floor with a 163-room hotel

A Boulder Club 25 cent Las Vegas casino chip from the 1940's sold for
$272.89 on January 27th of 2017. The casino was located at 118 East
Fremont Street and was open from 1931 to 1960
